The video in this post is by LUSH cosmetics Mark Constantine...LUSH is a multimillion retailer serious about creating products that need no packaging. The company's success shows that many customers are willing to go without packaging. It is especially inspiring to see that Mark has actually put no/minimal packaging into the design of his products.
There must be SOOOO many products that we could by for example...as powders in bio sachets...& then refill a container & add water?...dishwashing liquids etc WOW more companies should design products like this...

I guess it is cool you can complain...but it would be so much cooler if manufacturers were made by law to use eco friendly...or NO packaging.
OMG can I just say that so much packaging frustrate me. I think I have OCD about packaging! Let me just vent for a moment!
ReplyDeleteFor staters - have you ever had to buy a USB data key? They are TINY yet come wrapped in the horrible hard plastic that is almost impossible to open and so wasteful. They don't need it to be sold!
I also get frustrated that at most sushi ake away chains, they sell 2 sushi rolls in a paper bag, but three instantly get put into a plastic box. I have no idea WHY since there is room for 3 rolls in a paper bag. If I buy sushi, I always make sure to ask for it in a paper bag, and say no to the little soy fish. You can normally ask for the soy bottle they use out the back or on the tables if they have a sit down area.
plastic bottles are a nightmare. I like lemon mineral water as much as the next person but if it is a plastic bottle, I will just walk away!
I can't stand pasta boxes that are cardboard but then have a small plastic window to see in. As if you need to be reassured they put spaghetti in there.
I also hate the little stickers on fruit... oh they are evil. I may love the Chiquita banana logo but I loathe their stickers.
I will end my rant now!
